Review
The Helio 2014 BMX by DK Bicycle is an entry/intermediate level BMX bike which comes with a chromoly frameset. The bike is quite strong and sufficiently lightweight at the same time. It delivers a solid performance coupled with durability. The 2014 edition is not much different from the 2013 edition in terms of both spec and performance although the looks are slightly different.
Assembling the bike is extremely straight forward. However, if you feel the need, make sure you take it to your local bike shop to have it set up. The tires of the bike are not as tough as you would have liked them to be. In case you are planning to hit the dirt, you might have to upgrade those in order to enjoy a hassle free ride. You might also want to upgrade the saddle as well as the pedals.
The Helio 2014 is a powerful and stylish BMX bike ideal for beginners. It is a great bike to learn tricks on and get started on the BMX path. On the other hand, it has a lot to offer to intermediate riders who want to hit the streets or the skate park with a reliable and robust bike. The price seems just right for this one. However, it is highly recommended to explore the 2013 edition of this bike before arriving at the decision of buying this one.
